How long is Army boot camp 2023?
WELCOME TO BASIC
Your Ten-Week Introduction To The Army
Your first weeks will include: Core Values: Learn Army values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. Physical Training: Begin physical and tactical military training.
The complete Army basic training cycle is about 10 weeks, divided into three phases: Red, White and Blue, which last about three weeks each. After passing the final tests of the Blue Phase, your next step is the graduation ceremony, where you'll get to celebrate your accomplishments with your friends and family.
Cell phone use depends on the drill sergeants. Some drill sergeants allow them, others do not. If Soldiers are allowed to use them they will not have them at all times. The phones will be locked up with the Soldier's other personal belongings and distributed when phone privileges are earned.
A United States Army infantry recruit should expect a more intense, physically demanding basic training located at Fort Moore, Georgia through One Station Unit Training program that is 22 weeks in duration.
Of the five Defense Department service branches, only two met their active-duty enlisted recruiting goals for fiscal 2023 -- the Marine Corps and the Space Force, by far the smallest services and with the lightest recruiting burden. The others, the Army, Air Force and Navy, fell short.
In basic training, you'll learn teamwork, discipline, and how to handle a weapon, rappel and march. The work is physically and mentally demanding. You'll experience stress, and you'll test your limits. Know what to expect and arrive prepared.
Will I Be Paid in Boot Camp? Yes, your pay starts the day you get to boot camp. Newly enlisted Sailors start out at the E-1 pay grade, but there are exceptions. You may also be eligible for additional bonuses and allowances.
Unlike high school or college, where you may have been in class and studying around six hours a day, the Army trains for about 12-14 hours a day, six days a week. You'll come to love Sundays, unless you've managed to "earn" some extra-duty time during the week.
You can leave in the first THREE MONTHS (but NOT in the first six weeks). After the first three months you have no right to leave until you have served for FOUR YEARS. And after you've left, the army can still call you up to train or fight at any time for the next SIX YEARS.
Can you leave base on weekends?
Regular military leave is any paid leave taken for personal reasons, including vacations, family care, errands or any other purpose. Regular leave is used on workdays and also any time the service member is leaving the vicinity of their duty station, as defined by their command, on a weekend or holiday.

Army basic training lasts for 10 weeks and consists of four phases. During each phase, soldiers learn different skills and information that relates to the Army, including weapons handling, rappelling, drill and ceremony and the Army's core values.
MOS Description. The infantryman supervises, leads, or serves as a member of an infantry activity that employs individual small arms weapons or heavy anti-armor crew served weapons, either vehicle or dismounted in support of offensive and defensive combat operations.

Can I join the Army if I'm older than the maximum age requirement? The maximum age to join the Army as an enlisted Soldier is 35, while Officers must accept their commission before age 31. However, the Army can lift some restrictions based on the need for certain roles to be filled.
U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force Struggle for Recruits. The Marines Have Plenty. As the other large military branches fall short of their goals despite offering signing bonuses and other incentives, the Marine Corps easily fills its ranks on swagger alone.
With the fighting spirit that has propelled them thus far, recruits move on to the final challenges they must face to become Marines in Phase 3. This phase includes the most difficult part of recruit training: the Crucible, which is the ultimate test of all they've learned before earning the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor.
Answer: No, not every day. But, yes, you should be doing goal-paced intervals at 400-800 meters during your training week. You actually need a variety of running workouts and maybe some non-impact cardio options mixed into the week, depending upon your level of running ability.
Save a few thousand dollars, if possible, before you head into training. Money-saving boot camp tip: For any bills you have back home, make sure you put them on auto pay or have a trusted relative take care of it while you're away. Doing so will ensure you won't be greeted with overdraft or late fees upon graduating.
Which branch has the easiest basic training?
But airmen agree the Air Force probably has the easiest basic training.
Marine Corps Recruit Training is the longest, most demanding military basic training, consisting of more than 70 “training days” in a period of 13 weeks. Unlike other military basic training, there are no weekends off and you cannot leave the base.
Run, Run, Run
Cardio endurance will ensure that you can keep up on platoon runs and helps you train your mind to stay focused during long sessions. Strength training is essential as well. Doing pushups and situps often and of course, if you belong to a gym, lifting weights will help you a ton.
Most recruits are promoted to E2 when they leave basic training, so you should be making around $1900 per month after taxes. If you bought the car then you have about a $500/month payment with insurance. Continue to save $500/month for the rest of the year.
However, don't expect anyone to hand you any money yet. In order to get paid, the military has to establish your military pay records, and that won't happen until you in-process during the first few days of basic training. Military members are paid twice each month -- on the 1st and 15th of each month.
