For what it might be worth, the large drop in C/P on FL's in Aug was definitely poor math. My improved scores are when I took my time and didn't miss simple questions. FL1 was taken a week after I started studying again this year. I don't suspect I will get a 517 on the real deal but I am confident I can score higher than 124 on C/P.
This is my second year applying. I received interviews last year to UNR and OHSU. UNR interviews all Nevada applicants who meet the minimum qualifications. OHSU I have Oregon Heritage so I qualify for one of their subgroup priorities. I have a valid reason for delaying my MCAT retake this year that I will not share here. I have applied to the following schools this cycle:
Kaiser Permamente
Kirk Kerkorian UNLV (Interview Invite received)
OHSU
University of Arizona - Phoenix (I have loose ties to Phoenix)
University of California Riverside
University of Central Florida
University of Florida
UNR (Expected Interview Invite after retake MCAT is received due to Nevada resident status).
From this list, only the two Florida schools are first time applications. All secondaries have been submitted. I am likely to apply to Mayo as well, given I have loose ties with volunteering and shadowing at one of their campuses.
I have 5 letters of evaluation, 2 from Physicians I shadowed. I've read 3 of the 5 and am aware of the content of the 4th. All are solid letters that reflect the range of the core competencies and my strength as an applicant.
Last year I had near 0 volunteer hours and 0 shadowing hours so that makes for a marked improvement on this year's application.
I am looking for a recommendation of approximately 10 more schools to apply to this cycle.

IMO, your chances at an offer hinge on your MCAT retake, but for now, you have a 503 on the board, which schools may use in the initial screening. Your second score may be averaged in for screening once that score comes in. What did you do in the PT clinic?
Thank you for your military service. How long has it been since you left? I'm surprised if you received feedback of "no volunteering." I think your in-state connections will help you, and as far as you have more clinical experience, you have a chance. Text line may or may not fit "volunteering," but again, I think your 8 years of active duty supersede my concerns.

The feedback I received from last year's cycle was specifically lacking clinical exposure. Regarding Crisis Text Line, it was considered volunteering (from one school at least) and supporting those in emotional distress (I forget how they phrased it but my volunteering was assessed as - Caring about my community (Mentoring), Supporting those in need (Crisis) and volunteering at the hospital (Mayo)). Military service will officially conclude this September, so a month and a half left!
PT Clinic has been assisting in plan of care for patients under direct supervision of the PT. Basically helping with exercises, monitoring, taking measurements that were then verified by the PT (since I am not allowed to report objective findings directly), and building plan of care with approval by the PT (which exercises for which injuries).
All of the schools I listed used the 503 as initial screening for secondaries, and all have been submitted. I know OHSU will not consider my application for interview until the second MCAT is received, but they also do not average. UNR is the same. This info is direct from the admissions department. To be honest, I'm surprised UNLV gave me an interview slot on the 503, considering they did not offer me an interview last year.

Do you speak Spanish? Add Charles Drew now. When you get your score back add UNLV, and the other FL schools.

I do not speak Spanish. UNLV is on my list and I have an interview for them this cycle.
I'll look at Charles Drew and the other FL schools!

I'm also thinking your military status/history should make you interesting for schools that have a strong connection with a VA hospital site. I grant that your attention with your in-state/preferred schools is a good sign, but if you have to apply further, just think how you wish to leverage your military background in medical school.
I'm not sure about Mayo until I know I see your new MCAT. If you average all your full-lengths in August, you hit 511 as the average. That may still be too low for Mayo, but you might as well try (I don't know if they get many military applications; MSAR should say).
Kill that MCAT! Cycle back on adding more schools when you're done.
